By car

from all directions apart from the South take the D2 motorway (Brno - Bratislava)leaving at EXIT 41 Podivín, then follow road No. 422 to Lednice
from Vienna and the South cross the border at Drasenhofen-Mikulov and from Mikulov follow the local road straight to Lednice or cross the border at Schrattenberg - Valtice and from Valtice take the road No. 422 to Lednice

By bus or train

Bus: The closest international bus station is Brno. From Brno by train to Breclav (max.1 hour, 3 Euro) and then by local bus to Lednice (10 min, 1 Euro)

Train: Breclav is closest international connection to Lednice (10 km, with regular bus connection every hour , costing 1 Euro)

NOTE: The bus stop for Lednice is not in front of the Breclav train station (these are only town buses), but about 300 m North!!!

From Vienna (airport and city):

-a Student Agency bus goes to Brno 4 times a day: 8am 11am 6pm 8:30pm (the journey Vienna - Brno takes 3 hours and costs 12 Euro) -Info: www.studentagency.cz, +420 224 999 666, florenc@studentagency.cz -from Vienna (usually) Südbahnhof there are also regular trains direct to Breclav (taking approx. 1 hour).

From Prague airport (Ruzyne): You can use public transport (bus No. 119 changing to metro line C “red”) either to “Nadrazi Holesovice” train station or “Hlavni nadrazi” main station , both on line C, (depending on further conection),costs 1 Euro You can go go from Ruzyne airport to train station Praha - Holesovice Station or to the Main station (“Hlavni nadrazi”)by taxi (20 Euro). From Praha-Holesovice station or the Main station SC, IC or express trains go to Breclav ( 20, 17 or 14 Eur). In Breclav change to a local bus or taxi to Lednice (10 min, 1 or 10 Euro resp.) .
